Gaiwans

"Gaiwan", meaning covered bowl or cup, is a traditional Chinese vessel created during the Ming Dynasty for making and drinking tea. A gaiwan is perfect for brewing a single cup of tea either at home or at the office. It is also convenient to take along while on the road — just pack one in your bag for easy brewing of your favorite loose-leaf tea. Gaiwan cups are especially suitable for more delicate teas such as green, white, and oolong.

We offer two styles of gaiwan — one with a handle and one without. Gaiwans with a handle consist of four pieces, including the cup, a lid, an infuser, and a saucer. The handle-less gaiwans are three-piece: a cup, lid, and infuser. Both styles are elegant, easy to use, and perfect for serving tea to individuals. Choose a style and color to fit your needs and take it along with you on your next trip.

The infuser helps simplify the brewing and cleanup process, especially valuable in an office or other workplace where space is limited and clean-up can be tricky.
